Three people have been killed and a minimum of nine individuals got hurt in Ukraine's latest attack on the Russian frontier area of Belgorod, according to regional authorities.

The fatalities occurred subsequent to an assault on the village of Maslova Pristan during Wednesday morning, authorities reported. Rescue personnel were continuing to search for people feared trapped under debris.

It is the third consecutive day that Ukraine has struck the region, leaving thousands of people lacking electricity and a minimum of two more persons dead.

Multiple Strikes Lead to Harm

The Wednesday wave of aerial assaults harmed houses, transportation and power lines in multiple districts of Belgorod, per information from official statements.

Officials released pictures from the area depicting a recreation complex with its building components blown apart, and mentioned that emergency personnel were removing wreckage and assessing the damage.

In the close-by settlement of Moshchenoye, half a dozen persons - comprising a minor - got hurt when an aerial projectile and unmanned aircraft targeted transportation, while a person got injured when a car was hit in Masychevo.

Power Outages Hit Many

The strikes follow two days of similar attacks that have caused blackouts and building harm in the city of Belgorod and adjacent territories.

Close to 40K individuals were impacted by electricity outages across various communities, according to authority reports.

Larger Picture of Warfare

Ukrainian forces have significantly escalated the number of attacks launched against Russian petroleum plants in the past few months, leading to gasoline scarcities and cost increases in some parts of the country.

A minimum of 21 of the nation's key petroleum plants - where crude oil is converted into practical energy sources like gasoline and diesel fuel - have been hit since January, significantly more than as throughout last year.
